Drug intelligence / Profile preview
[124I]IB-PF-06687234 is a radiolabeled version of PF-06687234, a fusion protein composed of a fully human single-chain variable fragment (scFv) antibody (F8, which targets extra-domain A of fibronectin selectively expressed in inflammatory tissue neovasculature), fused to the anti-inflammatory cytokine interleukin-10 (IL-10)[3][4][5]. The radiolabel [124I] (iodine-124) allows visualization by PET imaging of tissue distribution and targeting properties. PF-06687234 (F8IL10, Dekavil) is designed to deliver IL-10 specifically to inflamed tissues, thereby increasing local anti-inflammatory effects and reducing systemic toxicity, aiming to treat inflammatory bowel diseases such as ulcerative colitis[3][4][5]. The drug was developed by Pfizer under an exclusive license from Philogen[3][4]. Dekavil (F8IL10) is also being investigated in other indications, including rheumatoid arthritis[5].
